The young Explorers Division (YED) organized two family outings Summer Holidays.

1. Rana Naveed led the 18 member group to a memorable 8 days adventure trip to Northern Areas from July 13 to 20. Participants, all AFP members enjoyed the adventure and thrill of traveling on KKH, the ancient Silk Route and visited famous spots en route.

2. Second Silk Route trip was conducted by Shaheena Zaidi held from 8-15 August, 2002. It was attended by AFP members and their families 23 in all.

Highlight of these trips was visit of Khunjerab Pass which is situated at a height of 16000 feet and is habitat of rare wildlife like Markhore, Marco Polo Sheep, Golden Marmot and Snow Leopard.
